Who are our Regional Account Managers?

 

When they’re not out and about visiting advisers and partners, or attending events, our Regional Account Managers love their football, their pets (there’s lots of love for Dogs in this team) and a cuppa (don’t ask about which biscuit they like, they can’t collectively agree!) but most importantly, they’re big champions of our Brand.

Recently our Marketing team caught up with them to find out a little more about them and how they can help boost Advisers business.

The team is mainly responsible for driving growth, obtaining new business and managing existing relationships across several regions – they raise awareness of our proposition with prospective new partners, build relationships with existing partners and support in the development and growth of business through selling LV= products.

We know how difficult it is to engage clients to discuss General Insurance, as its sometimes the last thing on their minds, but the wealth of knowledge and experience this team has, really does set us apart – you know we’ve got your back, so you can have your clients.

By having more open and honest conversations with your clients, you can help them recognise when their home insurance needs may change and ensure they’re better protected, if the worst should happen to their home or belongings.

So, who’s in the team?

Dom’s worked in GI for 17 years and as well as enjoying a good brew or two (Barry’s or Yorkshire only!) he understands how important insurance really is: “You appreciate the times when we’re there for our customers, when they need us. Giving a client your quality advice, a top-class product with superb customer support, mitigates the chances of them being underinsured.”

When we asked him what he likes most about working at LV= he explained its all about the team - they’re experienced, knowledgeable and can adapt and thrive in a constantly changing industry.

Jill has a hybrid role in the team (which includes Learning and Development and also being a proud dog mom) having worked in GI for 35 years, she’s never been prouder to share our proposition - from our products to SmartQuote and the support we provide. You’ll find Jill offering bespoke training and coaching, walking Advisers through our SmartQuote portal and showcasing the cover in both of our products.

Jill explained “we want to help advisers make a success of their GI business but also to help them help their clients get the cover they need.”

When we asked Ross about what makes us stand out from the market, he mentioned not only a love for everything football but explained that "We provide a unique business solution that streamlines the home insurance journey. We’ll provide a guaranteed quote from just the postcode of the property and full application from start to finish, in a way that nobody else does."

He also spends time delivering sessions to firms on sales techniques, how to drive key business opportunities and understanding customer behaviours/buying habits.

Kam, our swimming and chocolate enthusiast, offers a walkthrough of our home and landlords quote and apply system, answering any questions advisers have and pointing them in the right direction, with helpful hints and tips about how they can write more GI, along with promoting our products and proposition. She was keen to emphasise to Advisers to: “Keep in touch with us, sign up for webinars, look at the tools available on our Intermediary website.”

As a trusted brand with a great market presence, our experienced team are always on hand to support and Kam knows that flexibility is key when supporting busy advisers, so rearranging times and schedules for online and face to face meetings, is a regular part of her day.

Educating advisers on the importance of GI has always been a priority for Tom (as well as a love for photography and cars) and helping them to understand our tech is key in the digital world. Tom explained that our tech allows advisers to spend more time focusing on building relationships with their clients. “Advisers know they can get a SmartQuote in 5 questions and that its valid for 180 days with us – it’s a quick application process.”

Tom emphasised that when purchasing a policy with LV= you know the client is going to be looked after as we put the customer at the heart of everything we do.

Our team demonstrate the simplicity and transparency of our LV= GI proposition every day, they’re committed to educating and supporting advisers throughout their GI journey, whether it’s at round table events, a coffee catch-up (sorry team, we meant Tea!) a video or telephone call.
 
Our specialist training and knowledge is available to support Intermediaries, in bringing that people-focussed service clients know and love.
